About Us
Hello! We are Brent and Tammy, we both were born and raised in Texas. We currently live in Fort Worth, TX.
We have been married for 18 years, clocking into 9–5 jobs, and will soon be empty nesters.
We started On the Road with Brent and Tammy because, like a lot of people, we found ourselves stuck in the same daily routine. Same workdays. Same weekends. Same question of “Is this really all there is?”
Travel became our way of breaking that cycle — not with big, flashy vacations, but with day trips, weekend getaways, and short escapes that fit real life.
Tammy is the planner and researcher of the duo — always digging into small towns, hidden gems, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, farmer’s markets, scenic drives, and places that feel welcoming instead of overcrowded.
Brent brings the humor, the curiosity, and the laid-back approach that reminds us travel doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
Together, we believe:
- You don’t need unlimited PTO or a huge budget to have an adventure
- The best trips are often close to home
- Slowing down is just as important as seeing everything
- And adventure doesn’t have to cost a lot of money
Our travels are budget-to-mid range, realistic, and designed for people who still have responsibilities — careers, families, and schedules — but crave something more than the ordinary.
